I am currently finishing my PhD at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, studying under
Andrew Leigh Brown. During my PhD I have developed a new method to estimate the
heritability (viral genetic effect) of viral load in HIV.
I am also part of the PANGEA_HIV initiative, which aims to use phylogenetics and molecular
epidemiology to better characterize the HIV epidemic in sub-Saharan Africa. I am developing
a stochastic, agent-based model to simulate realistic HIV epidemics, which can be used to
assess the performance of phylogenetic methods.
